A great item at a great price. The seller dlivered just as promised. I would not hestitate to buy from the dealer again.
I had been searching for this CD for ages. All of his old hits are on this CD.
Born in Canada in 1938, Gordon Lightfoot's rich baritone voice accompanied by his excellent acoustical guitar work has made him a favorite for more than 40 years. Each of the songs sounds clear and excellent to me, and I love leaving it playing for hours on end as I slave away at my desk. In 2002, this Complete Greatest Hits album came out to rave reviews. It contains many of his most-well knows songs, including If You Could Read My Mind Love, Rainy Day People, and his smash-hit The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.Overall, I think that this album has a great sound. I really enjoy all of the songs, but especially love Canadian Railroad Trilogy (which I don't think I have ever heard before) and Beautiful. So, if you like great, soulful music, created by a master musician, then get this album. I highly recommend it.
I am from northern Michigan so I remember when that ship went down. But I also like his singing. He is great.
This is a rare combination of quality and quantity. There are a lot of good songs, mostly because GL wrote and performed so well. Obviousy it is still a small fraction of the songs that he wrote in total, but I like the ones they included. Just from listening, the recordings all seem to be in a studio, so the quality is good.
